Outreach Outreach is a form of Ministry that is many times done outside the walls of our church. Many times it means we are going to the call of need, teaching with our actions, and serving with the love of God Go Matthew 28:19 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,[a] baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. How many of us want our kids to listen the 1st time we tell them something? And not have to repeat ourselves ever? Well, If you didn't know the Bible has 37 verses TELLING us to go and make disciples. So, stop acting like your kid and listen the 1st time the Lord says Go. Now when we go we do it with the Lord’s love and Grace he has taught us. We show them how faithful the Lord is to us and how faithful he will be to them. This allows our faith to be shown through our actions. We can be a light for God without having to say “Have you heard about Jesus?” The way we live our lives will draw people near to God. Teach Matthew 28:20 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” After we are able to share the Lord by going into our communities and loving on everybody. We then are allowed to open the door to living a Godly life. We are to share the commandments and how God has instructed us to live. I think sometimes we see that we often get scared of how the community will react to us sharing our faith in God. But as long as we are teaching the ways of the Lord he will be with us always. “even to the end of the age”. Serve Galatians 5:13-14 13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” We have freedom to be able to serve the Lord, but also to be able to help and serve one another. So don't lose yourself in the selfish ways of this world, like, The “me” attitude. We have lost the importance of a healthy community. The world tells us it's only about me and I should have what I want. Which is a flesh and worldly desire. We should be ready to serve those in need in the way we are ready to serve ourselves. Think about it, Are we ready to give to people that have NOTHING. Would we be willing to give up our luxury gifts: Jordans, airpods, watches, etc, for others to have a meal or a jacket to keep warm. Jesus is the perfect example of serving. He washed all of his disciples feet the night before his crucifixion. Even Judas. He knew what was to come and still served them that night. Jesus served his disciples knowing they would not save him. We should be serving our community whether we know people's hearts or not. Transformational Moments Are you willing to go into your community and make disciples? Will you teach God's word and not be afraid? Do we serve God or our own flesh?
