God knows just where to send him off with the gift of humility. As he was preparing Moses. God Hears the People of Israel Moses spends 40 years in Midians, married to a Priest's  daughter,in the desert tending sheep, learning to commune with God. All in preparation for what was to come of God hearing Israel's cries. Scripture tells us in  Exodus 2:24 (ESV) All of the things Moses has endured from birth just where to send him on the path to prepare him to Lead an entire nation out of slavery.  We are pointed to the faith of Moses’ mother in verse 2 when she recognizes he is special and remember not in the western sense of the word. Exodus 2:3 (ESV) Exodus 2:23  During those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel groaned because of their slavery and cried out for help.
