What Does Love Have To Do With It? Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way. 1 Corinthians 12:29–31 1.  We are not all called to do everything in the Body of Christ It is exhausting to be who you are not called to be. Every job that is done for the Lord is important, there is not a job that is better than another, there is no effort for the Lord that is wasted. If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1 2. Speaking in tongues is great, being a jerk is not. We have elevated the Spiritual manifestations, to a level that was never intended. No one cares how Spiritual you are if you are not nice. The Lord did not give you a word if it does not build up someone. God is the only one that gets to do the rebuking. 3. Screaming the loudest gets us nothing Our culture is yelling at each other and we must be different. Just because you are the loudest, does not mean you are right.  What does this mean for us? Are you doing enough for The Body? Are you nice? Do you need some of the love of God today?
